Traditional Ayahuasca Healing Retreats in the Peruvian Rainforest
Harmonise Your Mind, Body and Spirit
Set on 300 acres of Amazonian rainforest near Iquitos, the capital of the Peruvian Amazon, The RA Initiative is a small, personalised retreat offering bespoke wellness programmes grounded in Amazonian plant medicine. Whether you are seeking renewal, healing, or a deeper purpose, our expert team will guide you through your transformational journey.

Medicinal plants
As well as Ayahuasca, the forest provides a vast pharmacopeia of plant derived medicines which tradition and Shamanic research has honed over the centuries to benefit the indigenous peoples. At RA, we have a dedicated garden for a selection of theses plants, and access to many others in the wild, which may be advised for use in your healing journey. Read more here

Healthy eating
The bedrock of good health is diet. Sadly, this is a subject which has been long neglected in conventional medicine and is frequently misrepresented by dietary gurus. To ensure you get the most benefit from Ayahuasca, we encourage you to follow an Ayahuasca Diet prior to your arrival, (a few things to avoid and some to include. (Read more here) and whilst with us you will eat nutritionally beneficial meals made from our own and locally produced ingredients.

activities
To enrich your time with us we offer several organised trips during your stay. These will include a visit to a nearby village, dolphin spotting, walks in the surrounding countryside, treks into the forest and a night excursion on the river. You may also wish to birdwatch, stargaze (no light pollution to obstruct your view), or you could try your luck catching dinner in the river or in one of our piscigranos (fish farms).
